: New Revos
Motohead 09-09-2004, 10:02 PM New Revos will be here in a week! (265 75 16 E) What do you think white letters inside or out? How about some pictures of Revos on stock wheels and aftermarket. Thanks!!
I can not wait to get rid of the little donutshttp://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
SUMMITMAXLLY 09-10-2004, 02:56 AM I have mine White Letters IN. Just personal preference. I think the tires look bigger and better with the blackwall out. The only thing I've notice in having blackwall out on the REVOs is that it takes more effort to wipe on the tire shine as the blackwall side has the serrated surface versus the smooth surface on the white letter side.
srode 09-10-2004, 07:06 AM Blackwall out looks better IMHO
RonJT 09-10-2004, 12:58 PM It depends on the color of your truck. My Revos have the letters turned in--I think it looks best on my Black truck.
I think on a white truck that has the black wheel flares--the raised lettering should be outside.
GMC2500HD 09-10-2004, 01:58 PM I think I will leave the white letters in on my white truck... Just does not look right to me. I would even go as far as to try and trim the white letters off if possible..http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Ditto, blackwalls out on the white truck.

duramax hd 09-12-2004, 08:51 PM I preffer the letters out. All my past trucks had raised whited letters out. I just like the look better.http://chevytruckworld.tenmagazines.com/gallery/2500hdduramax/113595.jpg (javascript history.back();)
motocopter 09-12-2004, 10:40 PM I'll probably put letters out next time - just for a change. As long as the letters don't look low-budget. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
Max Owner 09-13-2004, 12:00 AM Duramax HD; your truck is pretty damn close to looking like mine. Not bad, not bad.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif
Dave Lewis 09-13-2004, 11:57 AM How do you guys like the Revos? I have them on the wifes Explorer but she never drives in rocks. Do the tires pick up rocks easily?

I just put the 265/75 R 16 E revos on a few days ago. When I drive through gravel, they do pick up rocks. Sounds like you're gonna blow holes through the nerf bars.
I am definitely for white letters out. Just always liked my tires that way.
I love the tires. They really fill the wheel well and handle great. Next weekend I'm doing another thousand miles with the trailer so I'll get to see how they handle heat and if they squat.
TraceF 09-18-2004, 01:34 PM I put a set of 285's on yesterday. Oddly enough they aren't as tall as the 285 Michelin's I replaced. They don't rub at all and the Michelin's did even after the cowl trimming and 64k miles. They rubbed the back of the left fenderwell. I also expected some road noise but they don't seem any louder than what I took off. I like them!
DaleM 09-18-2004, 11:06 PM Do one side letters out the other letters in. LOL. I will put letters out on my white truck when I get the new hoops. Just like that look better.
Dnipro Max 09-19-2004, 09:22 PM Hey TraceF the 285 revo don't rub at all? cause i have everything stock and planing to put revos on but sales guy told that 265 is the bigges ones i put one with out rubbing, anything alls would rubb, let me know, thanks
Vitaly
Max Owner 09-19-2004, 09:52 PM I want to do 285's as well. But I have noticed that not all trucks sit the same. Some MAY rub. Some not.

I think this is right. My torsion bars are cranked about an inch but no rub. The Michelins rubbed all the time.
DaleM 09-20-2004, 06:26 PM Putting them (285's) on the stock wheel?

I don't know about this... mine are on American Racing AR 23's. They are 16 x 8".
I think the stock wheel is too narrow to add 40mm of tread width.
