I have a Pioneer deh-p4800 and I use a Tao xm2go unit. It has a built in FM transmitter and I am tired of having an awesome stereo full of static.-:t There is a plug in on the back of the head unit for AUX 1 input.
I was just wondering what I need to plug in my xm thing into the head unit.
:help:
If you want spend another 6.99 a month and get the dedicated xm integration unit then you can control xm thru the radio! otherwise go to Crutchfeild.com they have the adapter then you just activate ext input from the stereo's menu! Z ps I hear ya ! I hated the quality of the xm over the broadcast! it's almost CD quality now!

Does your xm have a headphone jack? If so, just get an adapter from any where, from mini headphone jack to RCA style plugs and simply plug into aux port. If you cannot select aux with the source button, Pm me and I'll explain how to.

the aux input on the back of the head unit has only one hole. not the usual red and white plug ins
and yes the xm does have a headphone jack
