HI, I have a 2004 LLY 12,000 miles. I just did a service.OIL,Filter, rotate tires and grease.I also did the air filter (Wix) Next day I was about 1hour out when I was going to stop to get a bit to eat.As I got off the ramp and started to to speed up I heard a bang and then turbo noise.

I pulled over and check under the hood,The blue turbo hose from the output of the turbo to the inter-cooler had blown off..I found the clamp put it back on, and just then came to a Chevy Dealer in http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gifIthaca Michigan,Nice Guys.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Hug.gif.I decided to stop just to have it checked.I was going about 350 miles North..They looked it over and said all is OK.. Leaving I goosed it and bang same as before

line was off.I returned to Dealer and they told me the spring on the clamp had to be compress all the way..They fixed and I was on my way.. about 750 miles now and no problem.does anyone know why this would happen? They told me at the Dealer it could see 50 lbs at this clamp. This is not the first time I had goosed it.Its run very Strong.. Any Ideas? ThanksEdited by: marsguy

I have a 04 LLy as well. At about 3000 miles it blew off during a truck pull. Cleaned it up good with alchohal and put it back together. Now 8000 miles and several truck pulls later, it blew off driving down the road last weakend. Cleaned it up good and tryed putting it back together . It would not stay on. Finnaly had to hold it on with bailing wire!! Took it to dealer Tuesday, they put it back on 3 times could hardly make it out the drive way. We looked and found a bouliton on this problem. It says replace blue hose, intercooler pipe, clamp, and use a certain adheasive as well (only gave the number). if that didnt work the were to call GM. Also torque clamp to 58 FT LBS. I hink it was 58. Parts sould be here tomarrow.
