Do you have the auto temp controls?? Not sure but I seen this problem posted in here before. If you have the auto temp controls, there may be a sensor that looks like a small speaker right above left of the driver's head. I think it monitors the air temp of the cab. Try pointing the driver side vent down and may be reduce the airflow to that vent. It may work. I have a similiar problem with the AC not cooling well. I remember a solution being posted here. Hope it works out for you.

This seem to be a common problem with D-max's. Does yours cool okay on the hiway?

cooling is very marginal...a warm day about 80 degrees and need blower speed on 2 or 3 to cool cab down...this means at 90 the blower will be on 5 and thats not acceptable...my other gm's cool on low fan speed and freeze you..sometimes having to add heat. this thing is nowhere as efficient...am currently working on it with the service mgr...will see..later, bchttp://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
