Nich D'Amico put me onto a friend of his at Banks Engineering in Azuza. I want a 4 inch exhaust, and an exhaust brake, and his friend is taking care of me, thanks Nick.


He is squeezing me into a tight schedule next month, and a nice price break.


What I need to know is has anyone heard of ANY problems with the dmax and an exhaust brake, or exhaust change, and the stealer. Eric are you listening.

An exhaust brake on your truck may well void your warranty as it can put some stress on the turbo. I would check with your dealer before you add it.

GM does offer an exhaust brake on the Duramax 6.6 equiped med duty trucks. That's not saying it's not a warranty issue with our trucks, just that GM does put e-brakes behind the Duramax.

What I am looking for is if anyone has HAD A PROBLEM.


I have talked to lots of people including Banks, and they say they are not aware of any problems.


Looking for real world answers.
