I did my first oil change tonight. I was a little slow at getting it done...I have 1200 miles on the 'ol girl.

I swear they had loc-tite on the oil plug and also on the filter. I had a heck of a time getting 'em removed. The new filter went on easily and the plug was good once I cleaned everything off.

I didnt even get any oil on the floor!!!

haha.. congrats!.. Look into a Fumoto oil drain. Makes things much smoother. ;) What oil/weight did you use?

I used Rotella T 15w40.

With 1200 miles...the factory oil came out jet black and really really thin.

I had a heck of a time getting the filter off. I had to put so much torque on it...I was afraid of crushing the filter.

Everything went back together great...so I was happy with the end result.

Fumoto drain valve is the only way to go.
