I am thinking about doing a factory nav upgrade. I read previous posts i just a few questions. Will this model GM part number 10351123 work in a non-lux bose system in a 2005 silverado i guess it cam out of an 2005 SS. I couldnt find that part number in the posts. Is that a touchscreen? Can i buy a bypass to watch DVDs on that display? Finally, how much do you think i could get for my factory indash 6 disc? Thank you for your time. I have got so much information from this forum.

It will work. It is a touch screen.
The unit itself will not play dvds. You will have to add a dvd player and PAC (or other brand) interfaces to connect the dvd player to the radio.
Stock 6-disk radios don't bring in big $$$. Check ebay.

Thanks for the reply. I am pretty sure that i have a non-lux system. Where are the codes in the glove box that i keep reading about. I am pretty sure that it is the sticker in the glove box and i just go down the list till i get to the "Y"s and see if any of them match the lux code but i dont know for sure. Thanks agian.

You truck came originally with a non-lux amp, all of them did. Unless someone has upgraded it, it's non lux

He's going to need a audio adapter as well as the video adapter you mention. I did exactly what you want to do on my truck.

Y91 is the "lux" option. Like srode said, you won't have it unless someone upgraded it for you.
Your factory 6disc will bring $100 on ebay, on a good day.
Just keep so when you sell the truck and get a a new one you can sell the nav. For 100 bucks It can collect dust in my garage.

Yeah i think i already have the adapter. Is it the sames pac adapters for a 2003 and 2005? You mean the rca adapter converter? Man this could get expensive. I think if i decide to do anything i will do aftermarket unless i can find a non-lux for really cheap and that is not easy. I had to let a lux unit in perfect shape go for $200. That was hard
