I have an 06 Chevy 2500HD Duramax crew cab LT3. It has full power leather seats. Anyhow there was a TSB for the seat rails I believe which supposedly the dealer took care off. Now the problem comes from the excess play that my seat back has in it.
I'm say every bit of an inch plus of movement when you hit a bump. The sounds sounds very similar to if you only shut your door part way and it rattled as you drove. The truck has 5100 miles on it and the sound is driving me absolutely insane.
I have had it to the dealer 3 times now with no luck having them fix it. I drove one of the guys around today so he could hear the sound as he supposedly couldn't get the seat to make noise. Barely made it out of the parking lot and I heard it.
Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems similar to this with there trucks and if so what corrective action has the dealers made to get rid of the sound. I have really considered bungee cording the seat from front seat to back seat but then I shouldn't have to.
