I have to ask the stupid question here.....I have a 2002 2500 HD gmc. The location of my pressure regulator is generally where?? The (my) service manual states that "at this time the fuel pressure regulator will be serviced as part of the injection pump." Thats the sum total of the info I can find in there. Now from what I read the pressure regulator can now be serviced/replaced seperatley. My copy of the manual refers you to the injection pump and I don't seem to see anything in the breakdown for the pump that resembles the picture below. Not that I would necessarily replace it myself but.......I use to know all the stuff under the hood of my gasser.

thanks.....P.S is GM Diesel tech operated by DmaxaliTech....saw the wif wrenches over there ( and regulator pic also )

first, yes, gmdieseltech.com is me

Second, yes, the regulator can be serviced seperate now. It bolts to the back of the HP pump with 3 t-25 screws. Some dissasembly is required to access it, but average joe with tools should be able to handle job in 3 hours.
