I'm thinking of purchasing this unit, whats your guys thoughts? Is it any good and should i only need the generic programing?

You should get the enhanced parameter version. And make sure it's for diesels.

I've heard of them but have no personal experience with autotap. The ease OBDII version enhanced parameter package was $350 USD, about the same product and price. The ease doesn't have the exact graphic dispay that autotap was showing but it does have a couple of comprable display modes. I like the 9 parameter red yellow green graphs with numerical % at the side. very easy to keep up with.

They say that the enhanced GM one works on Duramaxes. It might be worth emailing them to ask about it. It also does 0-60 timeshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif
