i was just wondering if anyone has ever or does anyone know if you can do this use a factory (gm) xm antenna on a sirius unit i have had problems with keeping the antennas vary one gone thru like 3 or 4 of them now just think it would look better if i went that way if this doesnt work i think i am going to get a truck/rv antenna or maybe a marine unit

yes you can use it. you will need a cbale to connect it but should work fine. i am in the processes of putting in a xm/ on star combo antenna from a 07 truck in my so i can take the magnetic one off

You don't need an adapter, the yellow end comes off and then it will plug right into the SIR module. Many of us have done it this way.

that is what i am doing. i just need to test the antenna to make sure it works with the on star and i am good to go with mine
