Since the site won't let me PM those that I know are in Texas (referring to QM and TDG the last letter of their names won't appear in the member name field no matter what I do) and deal with this stuff, I'll ask this way. I've read, and heard a lot of stuff on fuel additives for MPG. Where in DFW can I get Stanadyne products, and which one do I need to get.Edited by: winchster

I only know where to find the power service for sure, the stanadyne is probably sold in diesel related shops, look up "truck service" in the phone book and call some supply houses.

Are you telling me you don't get a PM screen with my or TDG's name in it when you click on PM below our posts?Edited by: quantum mechanic

I get the screen and everything but it won't let me send it. What shows up in the user name is "quantum mechani" and it won't let me add the "c". Same with TDG it leaves off the "y" and it says it can't send it because those names don't exist. I do a search, find you, same result. I can't reply to you either if you send me one. I click on the pm button in the post and same result. Very frustrating. I don't like wasting post space for this, but I had no choice.

check at your local parts store or truck stops. If all else fails let me know and I'll ship some your way and see if anyone around here can help.

The Stanadyne was the perfered product when I worked in a parts store here. I like it better too. I should use it more than I do but when I add anything thats what I use. Edited by: bowtie

Is there a specific Stanadyne product to use. By the way I figured out what the PM problem is, it is related to netscape, doesn't happen on IE.

Stanadyne Performance Formula, the Blue Bottle, Jr. is the red bottle, treats more cheaper but no cetane improvers to help power/mileage. They should have the flyers there to show how each of them stack up against the competition, but here it is in B&W.

Thanks for all the help guys, like I said, sorry to waste post space on this but I couln't figure out the PM problem. Got her whipped now though. I'm hoping to get my MPG up to 14 pulling what I pull, through bigger pipes, additives, and maybe a K&N filter setup, don't want to reflash or spend big bucks.

i bought some schaeffers soyshield today. $2.55 to treat 50 gallons. hope it works. made from american soybeans. kind of an alternative untill biodiesel gets up and running completely. just think if every trucker used this stuff the demand for soybeans would really jump. ill probably buy some more stanadyne after i use this stuff up and compare results.
