I have warning set at 25 pounds. Have been getting a few alarms on this. Anyone know if this is set too low?

ratlover,

I have my Attitude set higher than 25.6 (can't remember right now where it is set, but I think 30). Does your Attitude still alert you when your other gauge hits 30, even though it is still only displaying 25.6? If so, maybe I'll lower mine to 28 or something, although it seems like the Attitude monitor is pretty quiet. I guess too much loud music in my youth and machinery noise on the boat has caused a little hearing loss. . . .

Thanks,
Dennis

Thanks rat. You suggest jumping the warning to 30 then?

Setting it to 30 lbs and below should be fine based on several weeks of abuse here. It's just a question of how often you want to see the screen flashing at you when you're getting on it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

unless you're having 38lbs or more for sustained ammount of time..... I would not worry about it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

Juice should be able to tell you about it.... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

LMAO.... i do have a couple spares now!

Dodges need lift pumps... Juice needs turbo(s)

I do have a spare set of visegrips, grainger valve, solenoid actuated bleed (2) and now i am gonna try a VPC From HKS

I haven't Blown up a turbo with an HKS......YET!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Blown one up with stacked modules on a powerbarked upshift.

On edit: Blown turbos that have no use as a core make great Candlestick holders.... your wife will love you... each turbo holds 2 candlesticks..... such a dealhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif although 2500.00 a pop they are the most expensive holders you can make yourselfhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif.

Although Ebay is usually a good source to find a decent one, some dummy went and bought them all up.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif But in a Jam i can probably sell one of my spares!

Reminds me of the Movie 'Days of Thunder'

When Cole Trickle and Harry Hogg were having that little 'chat' about engines..... bear with me ...IIRC something along the lines of Harry "You see that red needle thar? when that needle.. reads 9400 RPM's , that's bad see....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif"

Now change that around for me.... "When that red needle goes to 47 pounds of boost and you powerbark the turbo on the upshift that's bad y'see... hear that noise? them's the turbine wheels goin thru your intercooler and exhaust.... you see that white smoke? we call that antifreeze from the centrebearing going into the combustion chamber..... now, that oily lookin grey cloud... well, you guessed it, oil is also goin thru there... why burn diesel? so's we can have all 3 flavours of smoke!.... did i mention when it happened i had a runaway engine as well at 4300 RPMs?...now THAT WAS BAD!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Throw Up.gif

But don't take my word for it.... try it out for sizehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif I ain't no expurthttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif Although i did have the dubious honour of having the turbo sent back to GM for 'Failure Analysis'http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif The onstar lady was nice though<IMG onMouseOver="this.style.cursor='hand'" onMouseOut="this.style.cursor=''" alt='Click on image to open in new window' onClick="window.open('smileys/HiHi.gif', 'Image', 'toolbar=0,loca

LLY juices are different I believe, forgot about thathttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif Mine stops reading at the 26.5, not bells or nothing past that. Only time my juice screams is with the EGT warning, with the hot oj I can hit that with ease. You learn not to look at your gauges when you are in ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif Its kinda fun to watch how fast all the needels move though, speedo, tach, egt boost......better not keep too close of tabs on em though, traffic starts coming up quickhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif
