I was wondering if anyone has towed with a superchip programmer on the highest setting? If so how did it work? How high was the EGT's? How did the trans shift?

It worked good pulling a 4 place enclosed(maybe 7,000lb). Egt's will jump very fast on hills going down the freeway, u need to keep a very close eye on them.

EGT wil climb fast and get very high. I think it is also hard on the stock trans. That is why they do not recommend it. I towed 6-7k with the performanc emode and it did rip though!

What if you're not pulling just driving, I know you should have an egt gauge but can you still do it without getting stupid with the tuning?

I never had a problem on perf. setting. EGT's were allways below 1400 on long pulls like up to 120mph or something. But if you pull i would get a gauge. IMO.

i haul quite a bit of wieght in the back of my truck at all times.
slip tank - built my self 10gauge steel - about 250lbs
75 gallons of fuel - 700 lbs
tool box with tools 400 lbs
and my sled deck 250 lbs
i'm just estimating these wieghts thats about 1600 plus lbs i haul around all the time and i have no problem getting my egts up to 1450 or so even of the line or on a long pull, don't even notice much of a diffence from switching from performance to tow mode

highly suggest a egt gauge
