alright im not that experienced with diesels although i been around them all my life. im plannin on gettin a 2001 dodge cummins 24 or 12 valve (dont know which one yet) within the next few weeks. im hopin to put a quadxilla chip and edge jammer stage 3 injectors on it, and a box which leads me to my question. i had planned on just puttin an edge comp box on it, but i want somethin that blows some smoke. not like a frieght train or nuthin but somethin that give a good cloud of black when i take off. i kno there are some boxes that you can control how much smoke you put out but which ones? what is a good box that i can get to blow a good cloud but without havin to get a whole new transmission? any suggestions would be awesome. thanks

if i am correct you can control this to some degree with the pump you have to manually adjust it with a star wheel behind a plug in the pump

If you get an 01 it will be a 24v, with a comp box it will smoke easily with the box on 5x5. If you get the 12v you can get it to smoke by turnin the star wheel like metioned above, really easy 10 min mod, theres a pipe plug on top of the AFC housing, take it off turn the starwheel towards the motor and you'll have smoke of the line.

first things first...upgrade the fuel system before you put any injectors or comp box on it...your injection pump will thank you
no such thing as an 01 12v...
