Nick, see if you can find a SpeedLiner dealer around your parts. The base or stock is almost clear and from that.........all you do is add the OEM paint, about a quart or so......and you're done. Remember, the color is only the color "without" the clearcoat. So, it won't have the glossy look of the paint and will be slightly off. If the dealer has done enough they will know what to do to get your color right.

They have a standard color set as well as different textures. I get the texture that resembles the lin-x because I like the uniformitly. However, they can make it damm near flat..... kind'a like big flat dots all over. Reading the post..... I'm guessing you're wnating basicly a white spray-in? I think they have that as well.

Here's something cool........ they can get a Diesel Place sticker and work with it...sort'a. I'm not sure how they do it...but... you can overlap or cut-in different colors. You could have your bed done in white and then put some letters in the middle.... like uh..I don't know....... maybe The Diesel Place or something? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

I wouldn't know this unless a friend had shown me the picture. It might be on their website? The picture that Chris, the owner, had shown me was a nissan (I think) with some gooffy colored wave in it. I'll go look and see what I can find........

Try this --> SpeedLiner (http://speedliner.com/usa/examples_automotive.html) Tell me if it works.

I don't have the Line-X but I do have Rhino in the Pewter color to match the truck. I think it turned out great. It does have the rough texture but that gives me grip for my self and other items in the bed.

They took the color code from the truck and matched just like what Burner said. It hase a UV protectant in it to keep from fading in the sun.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/Sprayed_in_bedliner_1.JPG

Most LINE-X dealers use either Nason or DuPont paint for the color match. It won't fade, or at least it won't fade any faster than your trucks paint! Just be sure to ask for a color match using the factory paint code. You should know that Speedliner has to use an adhesive primer to get their liner to stick. An adhesive primer is GLUE!

LINE-X has the best warranty on the market. It's a nationwide lifetime warranty.Edited by: TruckDaddy

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif Whatever..... it does fade. There are plenty of trucks around here that have faded.

Good or bad..... My wife can sit on my tailgate without worry. The SpeedLiner doesn't rip at your bare skin like Line-X. Yes, it's a work truck... but ya gotta live with it and I have yet to meet anyone that doesn't or hasn't sat on their tailgate at one point in time.

LINE-X's texture can be varied by the dealer. Just tell them what you want. The texture can be very smooth to very rough. Have you seen the logos that they spray on the liner? The way they do it is with a stencil and they spray with no final texture. The smooth against rough gives it the contrast.

As long as you get a color match with Nason or DuPont, it won't fade. If you get a "standard" color, it will most likely fade. Standard colors are blue, red, brown, etc.

Most popular color match: Ford's Arizona Beige

I'll check that out. I have never seen a "custom" Line-X before, just the usual Black and standard colors....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

I have pics of LINE-X with various stencils, both on the bulkhead and the bed floor. I also have pics of a couple of trucks in Ford's Arizona Beige and a tool box in yellow. They are not digital, so I'll have to scan them.Edited by: TruckDaddy

Depends on a lot of things. Over/under the rails, where you are, who you know. Not to be a smart-a$$, but it really does depend. I recommend calling your local Line-X guys. Usually they will give you a discount if you ask (I got 10%). Some guys got better deals than I did, but that's okay. I paid around 500 for a long box over the rails back in January when I got my truck.

I talked to the guy at my dealer that does the spray in liners, and he said that even with the factory paint color matched it will fade in the florida sun in less than a year. It has the uv blockers in it and all.

stick with black, its really tough stuff

That depends on the brand of bedliner. Some use just pigments, others use paint. Pigmented liners will fade, LINE-X uses paint and it won't fade any faster than your truck's paint. Make sure your LINE-X dealer uses either Nason or DuPont paint. Edited by: TruckDaddy

My butt Line-X won't fade ! I like the stuff, but it will fade. I had mine sprayed si=ummer 2003, and it has faded. In fact, the dealer/installer recently gave me a bottle of uv type spray (kinda like 303), to spray it down with to give it that jet black appearance again. It worked. You just spray, and let it dry.

Your black LINE-X does not have Nason paint sprayed on it. If it did, it would not fade.

For new black LINE-X liners, clean it with just water and a stiff brush. Apply Just Once (www.justonce.com (http://www.justonce.com)) on it a few times a year. If you do this, your LINE-X will ALWAYS look good as new. Otherwise, it will fade with time. The finish can be partially restored with Just Once later as mentioned above.

Just Once is fairly pricey. Does anyone know where it can be had for less?
