I was talking with my neighbor, who has a 2000 Powerstroke, and he mentioned that he asked the stealership if he could buy one of the new tailgates with the steps and handle from the 2008's, but they told him it wouldn't fit. From the looks of it, my guess is that nothing much has changed. Does anyone know for a fact that it indeed will or will not work on a 2000? Thanks.

I realize that this is a chevy place, but doesn't someone have an idea/opinion about it? I'll probably grab a tape measure and check it out myself sometime when I'm bored. Hey, maybe I'll take one for a spin again...........
