Called around and found a place open on SAT. anyway I still have to level the truck out haven't done that yet but the tires don't rub, but I want to crank it up a bit.
I am a bit scared though, mine are mounted on stock wheels and I have read I shouldn't expect but to get around 30k out of these bfg at's when mounted on stock wheels :(
but I couldn't help it I like the stock wheels and the look of the 285/75/16...has anyone ran the 285/75/16 at's on stock wheels? just curious what mileage you got outta them

I ran BF 285's on stock rims for years. Dont sweat it. I had the same set up but running Mastercraft 285 a/t's and at 25k miles they were slicks.
BF's are great tires.

Well, I'm on my second set and my second truck. I traded in the truck had around 60,000 miles on it and the tires has about 40k miles and had like 70% tread remaining.

Just rotate them every 5,000 - 7,000 miles and they'll hold up longer.......

Hi Wildman,
can I ask you what you paid for those tires? Just curious. I just bought a set of H2 wheels and I am looking to put 285/65/ 17's on them so I wont have to lift the truck much. The price I got quoted was $230 a tire installed. I didn't want any weights outside so they are putting some special type of weight that sticks inside. I am also curious because I guess Pro Comp is running a buy 3 get 1 free so I am thinking of those too.

Dominic, dont pay $230 a tire for BF 285's. Thats just too much. Mike Parker at Cheney's should get you a better deal than that.

I paid $191 installed and out the door a piece.
Like I said just a little worried on the mileage I'll get out of them mounted on my stock wheels....because thats a lot of money for tires IMO! If I get a solid 40k I'll be happy.
