I need to get a flywheel for a 6.5 engine that I intend to put in a truck with a 4 speed manual trans. Any suggestions where I should look for one at a reasonable price?

I bought the dual mass fly wheel. It lists for $550+ at napa. The solid flywheel is sapposed to be better with fewer moving parts to wear out.


Does the 4spd have OD? I would put the auto tranny in if not or you'll be doing 60 mph max at 2600 rpm.Edited by: quantum mechanic

I have anew never installed one here. Single mass type. It has some surface rust on it, but will clean up with a light pass on a flywheel grinder.
