Just purchased an 01 Silverado Crew Cab 4X4 Duramax Auto. It has high miles (just over 200,000) but appears to be well looked after. Runs and drives like a champ. I test drove a couple of trucks with half the mileage(and twice the price) and thought this one was tighter. I got a pretty good price I think ($12500.00) and the dealer threw in a 2 year powertrain warrantee. This truck will be used as my farm truck and to haul the family around. It is replacing a 2003 Dodge Hemi 4X4. The back seat in the Hemi was getting too small (or the kids too big) and the crappy mileage was getting to me. I've put about 1000 miles on this week and I am getting about 25% better mileage than the Dodge.
