Other than a turbo master heath or homemade version what other mechanical ways are there? the plastic peice broke off of the boost soleniod so im throwing around other ideas and i was thinking if i ran the vaccum line straight from vaccum pump to the wastegate actuator. and put some sort of a regulator or somthing inline between the actuator and the vaccum pump and regulated the vaccum so that it only held until 10 pounds of boost or so. Would this idea work?

That wouldn't be mechanical. That would still be a vacuum assist. If everything is good, why not just get a new solenoid?

what you want is a 10 psi wastegate actuator that operates like a normal one by pressure instead of vacuum. you then drill a fitting and have it use the pressure source of the manifold.

you could try doing it with this setup. if i read it right it uses boost pressure to regulate boost. but it could probably be rejigged to use vacuum instead. http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html
