Well Rancho, RCD, Pro-Comp all makes lifts for it. You will just have to do some homework and decide which one is best for you.

Rancho makes a 4 inch kit...sometime works out to more like 5 inch, but will increase track width.

Personally, I am against increasing the track width so far as to have a good portion of the outer edge of the tires sticking out. That will inevitably throw road debris onto the sides of the truck---it will be more work to keep clean and you will more likely than not have to contend with more dings and chipped paint from the said debris. But if you like the roller skate look, go for it. My Jeep has 38.5x15 tires and they stick WAAAAYY out...I love it but haven't bothered washing it in a few years for several reasons, one being it takes less than 24 hours to fully reap the consequences the increased track width.

Other options are some of the 6 inch kits that do not increase track width (significantly); 8-inch wide wheels, maximum 12-inch wide tires; cut-out fender flares; and/or a body lift (if that seems right for you).

Another quality suspension lift kit is the CST kit. Several folks here have had good results from that kit. Link: http://californiasupertrucks.com/

Do a search and you'll find some very good articles on this board.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

I have found that Summit Racing in Talmadge Ohio usually (not always, usually) has the best prices on just about everything hot rod related.

Yep lifted trucks are hot rod related :-). You ought to see the showroom they have. If it involves modifying a machine that falls under the classification "automobile/truck", they do it. The man that owns the place drives a H2.

The other day I went to buy a set of leather bucket/jump seat that make a bench seat. well you know what I mean. Summit Racing was 500.00 cheaper than the competitors on a Smittybilt Outland Premiere leather seat. I paid 979.00 plus tax instead of 1500.00 plus tax. They are big enough that they buy direct instead of having to go through warehouses.

just my 2 cents worth

Sunny and Mark,

Summit Racing is having a Truck Fest on Sept 11th, would be worth the ride up if you can make it. From Centerville, get over to 71. Go north to exit 209 which is rt 76. Go east on 76 , once you get on the east side of Akron, at the appropriate exit, you can see Summit Racing's place. Exit 209 is just under 2 hrs from downtown Columbus depending on how fast you drive, then Summit Racing is about another 35 minutes east.

Here is their promo quote:

"Get ready to shake, get ready to quake--TruckFest 2004 is coming to the Summit Racing Equipment Retail Store(1200 Southeast Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio)! It's a whole day of lifted, lowered, and restored rigs, and it's only at Summit Racing Equipment, 9 am-5 pm on Saturday, September 11. Register for free as you arrive, and then you'll be parked by class (Lifted, Sport Truck, Sport-Utility, Jeep, and Pre-1972). The awards ceremony is at 4:30 pm and you must be present to win."

have a great one,

the only 4inch kit you can buy is from rancho, iv seen several of the new ones for the hd's up close and they look like a good piece. rcd and cts make nice kits as well, but there 6 or 6-8 inch if your only looking to go up a few inches just get green keys for the front, (will get you 2-2 1/2 inchs) and 2 inch blocks for the rear. this is a little lower than a 4 inch rancho kit but will cost you less than 100 bucks as opposed to the 1500+ you'll spend for a full suspension kit (not including installation) put some 295's on it and be done.
