2003 ...took delivery of new truck. Spent around $60 and put Husky mudflaps on all corners. 3K miles later decided to do 4" lift and H2 tires. Mudflaps too small. threw Husky's in garbage. Spent around $150 and installed the Kaydenco (Duraflaps) ...ooh, nice mudlaps ...me like. Aug 2004 ...got new wheels that put wheels/tires inside fenderwells ...want "clean" look again so removed Duraflaps. Spent $80 on GM OEM molded mudflaps. Didn't like white bowtie so I learned they could be removed with 3M adhesive remover http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif (laquer thinner works too). Got rears installed now problem ... fronts? won't work with running boards! Arg! Got to have front flaps before weekend (road trip). Went out to truck accessory shop and found some aftermarkets that looked decent for $25. Get home, found they are too small and don't mold very well with fende wells. So I do a little "fabrication" (cutting) ...still don't look good and whimpy. Decide to call off-road shop ...to my surprise they have the Husky's in stock.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif
Spend $32 for Husky fronts ...
In the end, $347 spent on mudflaps ... PRICELESS.
BTW, I have a set of GM OEM molded mudflaps for flared pickups ...with black bowtie ...forsale ... $320/pair takes'em. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
Sometimes that's how things work out. I had the Huskies on my GMC but didn't like how they looked. I gave them away.
On my Dodge I put $20 worth of flaps on (all four). Then I stuck on a few Cummins emblems on them. $3.50 each.

I'm not fond of mudflaps but I guess some people are.

I'm not fond of rock chips and dents. I don't have a choice.

Next time try selling your unused stuff in the classified forums to recoup some $.

I had molded. Then went with a set of Cloud Rider Stone protectors (?) Cuts down on the number of "wacks" I hear on the truck.

I need some type of flaps but am not fond of the look. Driving at a slow speed off-road, I stick my hand out the window and feel the sand hitting my hand from the tires kicking it up. (lift with wide tires)
Was considering using some zues (sp?) fasteners (quick disconnect type fasteners) and install them only while off-road as I am on the road 80% of the time. Although this could be a pain in the arse.
What do Cloud Rider Stone protectors look like? Got a link?

DeeZee has some stainless mudflaps. They're rectangular "cut-to-fit" type.

They are pricey if you buy off the web site. But I bought mine from Van & Truck World for $30 CDN per pair cheaper.
