Who has a fuel pressure gauge mounted in a "A-pillar" gauge pod? If so what brand/series gauge do you have and what fittings did you use to get it to fit. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you want to put a fuel pressure gauge in the cab without an isolator.

Supply to pump pressure will be a vacuum and the rail pressure will be WAY up there.

You'll need 30,000 psi gauge to read rail pressure.

That's up there..

I've got the Westach transducer gauge in single pod. No need for fuel isolator or fuel in the cab.

I thought that the transducer style(electric) fuel pressure gauges didn't fair well on diesels do to the vibration. I think it is mostly the sending unit that fails. I want to put in AutoMeter Ultra Lite's in a triple pod but I was told the standard fuel pressure gauge with an isolator would not fit do to lack of clearance for the line? If the transducer style will be durable I will cough up the $200 for the gauge. Edited by: Carbon04

I know a couple guys with over 100K on Cummins with this gauge. A few run the AutoMeter transducer style too.

JakeGMCHD, so how much time do you have to spare next weekendhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif I might have a gauge pod to install.

thanks for the info, I am going with the electric gauge but I will find a different way of plumbing it as I still want my bleeder screw.

if you want to retain your bleed screw, tap into the line after it exits the fuel fliter.. its tight but use a T and a loop if you need to..
