i would just run the original tunes if you are going to keep the stock tranny i know with mine if i put it on 6 with the speed loader installed i can't tell the difference from 4 except for the amount of smoke

The powerPDA is pretty slick, and you can modify the tunes for more safety features than are currently set from Banks. If you want to run higher power levels - then i would pull fuel from the shift points and gradually pull more power in each higher gear. Also - from my reading I've found that our trucks can handle about 80HP more than stock before the tranny starts to suffer. Once you limp it just gets easier to limp as well. So take it easy and be safe. Crank up the acc. pump for more smokin fun too :D

here's an example of forum members setup for level 6 and speed loader level. I'm not saying your tranny will like this, but this JUST an example:

"I run a modified level 6 and adjusted some of the settings for Speed-Loader. I switch between the two depending on my style of driving that I'm doing at that given time.

Here's a breakdown of my settings for the two levels.

Level-6
Accelerator pump--200%
EGT limit--1350*F
EGT overshoot time--0 seconds
Low coolant temp limit--120*F
High coolant temp limit--235*F
Low coolant temp fuel limit--0%
High coolant temp fuel limit--0%
Trans slip fuel limit--0%
TCC lock-up event fuel limit--55%
1st gear fuel limit--100%
2nd gear fuel limit--80%
3rd gear fuel limit--60%
4th gear fuel limit--40%
5th gear fuel limit--20%
1-2 gear shift fuel limit--85%
2-3 gear shift fuel limit--80%
3-4 gear shift fuel limit--70%
4-5 gear shift fuel limit--65%

I'll only list the different setting on Speed-Loader to save space.

Speed-Loader
EGT limit--1450*F
Low coolant temp limit--140*F
TCC lock-up event fuel limit--50%
1st Gear fuel limit--100%
2nd gear fuel limit--100%
3rd gear fuel limit--100%
4th gear fuel limit--100%
5th gear fuel limit--50%
1-2 gear shift fuel limit--70%
2-3 gear shift fuel limit--70%
3-4 gear shift fuel limit--70%
4-5 gear shift fuel limit--55%

I have never limped the truck with these settings but that doesn't mean it won't eventully happen.Whenever I switch to a lower power level for towing (I never tow above 4) and switch back afterwards it always shift ruff for the first few miles until it gets used to the higher power level.
As before the bulk of my driving is either done on level 6 or Speed-Loader."
