I have a banks turbo that I believe needs rebuilding. Has anyone here done their own rebuild? It seems pretty simple from the writeups on other pages. Any tips?

I rebuilt the GM-4 in my truck. It required removing clips and bushings and the replacing them.

Might be a good idea, while you got the shaft out to run it to a turbo shop and just have them rebalance it for you, surely they wouldnt charge much for that, only takes 5-10 minutes.
