The pints are more expensive but the bottles are all premarked with both a measure on one side and the gallons they treat on the other. So they are convient at the pump. I used Stanadyne in my 98 6.5 (with no rust) and in my 03 since it was new. For the 03 I've changed the OEM filter 4 times, the Stanadyne FM100 Prefilter 3 times, and my Mega Filter once. I've cut them all open and they are all shiny clean inside - no rust or residue. I know some folks have found rusty deposits in their filters. However, I don't think it's caused by the Stanadyne (which also contains rust inhibitors). IMHO, these depostis are either from sediment in the suppliers bulk tank or a filter that was "pre-rusted" when it was installed.
