Please forgive me if this has been covered already. Just wondering if there has been any move on GM's part to give the owners of 2006 trucks the 100,000 mile warranty to the original owners like they are giving to used truck owners. As I understand it, if you buy a used 2006, they give a 100,00 mile warranty. Anyone here about this? .:rippedhan I think.

HUH?

Are you talking about the 100000 mile powertrain warranty? I believe the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is transferable to anyone who owns the truck during that 100,000 miles.

My understanding of the 100,000 powertrain was anyone who had purchased a 2007 before the anouncment had coverage. I was not aware 2006's would fall into that.

There was an anouncment about GM certified used vehicles listed below. We do CUV here, we are part of that program, it is a good program, but the list is very detailed. It takes a very clean truck, usually under 30k to get a ligit CUV tag on it. I guess there theory is if they give it to all 2006's then the 2005 guys will want to. lol

CUV - TO: ALL GM CERTIFIED USED DEALERS, GENERAL MANAGERS AND USED VEHICLE MANAGERS

Anyone here about this? .:rippedhan I think.Well, you could sell your 2006 truck to a dealer at the wholesale price and then buy it back at retail price and I'm sure they would gladly give you a CUV 5-year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty with it. ;)

You know, I have to give it to Ford. At least they came out and said here is the new 100k warranty for all 2007s and newer, and any unsold 2006's on the lot. Funny how GM didn't do that.

SO when I bought my truck in July 05 from Manchester Chevrolet here in TN, how do I figure out if it was "GM Certified"? I have the pump rub hole and I notice it covers the transfer case
