: B&W Hitch price..
hemisareslow 03-04-2007, 11:53 PM I am looking to buy the B&W gooseneck hitch...I have found some pretty good deals on ebay but would rather buy from a vendor on this site...or worse case from another place someone has experience dealing with....anyone have good suggestions for a vendor or where to get the best price on one?
dieseldave01 03-05-2007, 12:05 AM i too try to support the vendors, but i couldnt resist the price on ebay and and bought one on there.
hemisareslow 03-05-2007, 12:10 AM I am in the same boat...found one on e-bay for 333 w/ free shipping...if a vendor can beat that i'm in
dieseldave01 03-05-2007, 12:17 AM hell yeh, i got mine for 350.00 shipped and was tickled to death
gkruzich 03-06-2007, 06:00 PM Most shops around here sell the B&W for $324.00 out the door. $449.00 installed. I just put one in my father-inlaws 2007 a couple of weeks ago and will be getting one for my truck here shortly, but I agree supporting the vendors is a priority. Paying for the shipping just kills me though, when I can walk in and walk out with it in hand.
cumminstrokthis 03-06-2007, 07:00 PM Mine was 336 locally
Railer24 03-06-2007, 07:07 PM mine was $325 locally and I paid $100 for the install, Have had this done on both my trucks by the same guy.
$350 on ebay w/ free shipping. WOW- thats a steal!! Don't think I could resist that. There wern't any on ebay when I looked b4 buying mine locally.
ZDPDVM 03-06-2007, 08:15 PM I think I paid $400 installed here in Arkansas.
trailerpro 03-06-2007, 08:20 PM mine was $325 locally and I paid $100 for the install, Have had this done on both my trucks by the same guy.

If you got it for $325 locally then why is $350 on E-bay a steal?
thejdman04 03-06-2007, 08:57 PM He was being sarcastic
thejdman04 03-06-2007, 08:58 PM Ps I dont know what your sales tax is, but 325 locally w/sales tax, and 350 ebay would come out as a wash here where I live.
moosecountry 03-06-2007, 09:06 PM I paid $336 off ebay with free shipping and no tax. I received it AMAZINGLY fast in like 2 days!!! His handle was "thisoldcowboy"

Rescue 1 03-06-2007, 10:51 PM As a installer of these, I think the fit and finish of the B&W is fantastic. Just a word of caution, make sure if ordering for a 2007+ get the right kit. I had to remove a factory floor brace on a 2007 Dually because the kit we had on hand mounted right in that place. I just installed a new kit on another 2007 dually and all the previous problems had been corrected.
Turbotug 03-06-2007, 11:49 PM They must be making a pretty good profit on those to ship them for free. This is one HEAVY SOB!
gramps 03-07-2007, 12:00 AM Btw: I just got my invoice. Didn't go through Vendor here onsite as there is not much near me. Hitch was $385 and shipping would have been around $60, but I also got the companion. Paid $585 for that. Shipping for both was $154.
dieseldave01 03-07-2007, 09:14 AM If you got it for $325 locally then why is $350 on E-bay a steal?
well around me at the stores they were around 400.00-450.00 uninstalled, i got mine awhile ago but that is why 350.00 was a steal to me
gkruzich 03-07-2007, 11:52 AM Ps I dont know what your sales tax is, but 325 locally w/sales tax, and 350 ebay would come out as a wash here where I live.
No tax here. The expensive part is when my Dad-in-law gets the bill from me for the istall. :D Actually, we have alot of fun installing these hitches. We used to see how fast we could get them done. Now, we have a few beers, tell lies, and take half the day to install. Aww, memories...:)
dieseldave01 03-07-2007, 10:29 PM yeh i did the install myself w/ help from a friend it went as smooth as can be
Railer24 03-08-2007, 07:15 PM If you got it for $325 locally then why is $350 on E-bay a steal?
Not everyone has a local dealer!
I had to drive 45 miles to get mine. I think it would be just as good if not better to spend the extra $25 and save the time and fuel of driving to your nearest B&W dealer.
Then just install it yourself.
but since there were none on ebay, I just got mine there and had him install it.
Railer24 03-08-2007, 07:16 PM He was being sarcastic
No- I was being serious.
hemisareslow 03-09-2007, 12:52 AM no- i was being serious. hell yeah you were serious....i can get it on ebay for 335 delivered to my door...local dealer wants 479...plus install...i may shop around a little more at different dealers

They are trying to Rob you!! Can you install yourself? they would probably drop $100 off the price if not installing it.
hemisareslow 03-13-2007, 04:48 AM I paid $336 off ebay with free shipping and no tax. I received it AMAZINGLY fast in like 2 days!!! His handle was "thisoldcowboy"

Diesel_Day_Dreamin 03-13-2007, 05:33 AM I think I paid $302. delivered to my door from an ebay guy in NC. That was over a year ago. I found a guy in the midwest who would sell you the 5th wheel companion hitch for $649 delivered. I will have to double check my receipts for the information if you were interested.
Here's a link on my install... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64012

What do you do about them rusting out and looking like crp it a couple of years? I am looking at pulling mine off and getting it painted.

I had one installed on my 91' Ford about 3 years ago and it is rusting as bad as the rest of the truck is.
My new one looks fine so far, but I wish I could've had it painted/ linex or something.

I bought mine from the same guy, paid on a Sunday had it in my driveway when I came home on a Tuesday. I don't think they ship from TX, I think he drop ships them from the warehouse in PA if I recall. My son busted a nut trying to put it in my trailer for me before it rained.

stackedmax 03-19-2007, 03:55 PM Whatever the cost, B&W hitches are the best. We have them in all of our trucks, including this one. I ran a T road at 55mph late one night with a 25ft trailer loaded with my pulling truck. The truck and trailer were totaled but hitch wasn't even bent. If it hadn't been for the trailer neck and chains breaking the pulling truck wouldn't have been hurt.

Mike Jones 03-26-2007, 02:44 PM Well, after all the good comments on the B&W turnoverball gooseneck hitch, I ordered one today! I'll have to order the adapter later, when I find a trailer I like. This place is full of great info., you guys are making it easy on setting up my truck! :D

Now on too saving up for the fifth wheel adapter. I would definately recommend buying one if your in the market for one.
