Whats next i got efi live and the edge stack on a stock tranny If money was not an issue what would u all do next for it all to be done right and motor and drive train be reliable

get rid of the edge and put it towards funding a tranny. then get someone to send you a couple of good tunes for your efi.

I definateley agree with you on the tranny and tha fact that the Edge unit is WORTHLESS!

Their are a few of us that have made at or just above 500HP on a stock motor. Nasty Girl laid down 1000hp with EFI Live and some serious motor work.

Edge 150hp
Exhaust 40hp

total 720hp.........:D ...Still 80HP short, TORNADO maybe?


Here's what you do. Ditch Edge, since EFILive with DSP5 will easily outperform edge if you put the time into writing a good program. If you don't have the time or knowledge to write a program buy one. You are going to need a trans unless you keep the power down. If you are looking for 800hp do some research, it doesn't work like the equation above.

I have been reading up on all this im going to buy a spare motor on ebay and im going to redo the bottom end of my block and built it up right to make it handle the power but i really am planing on more then 800 hp but thats just the minimun that i want.

You will definately be taking the better approach to build the bottom end first, then add the power.

How strange you want at least 800 HP, but you are running 836HP in your sig at FSC.

dozer thats my bro screen name on that chevy site or what ever not mine. He has the same kinda truck I do. Just his is 2 wheel drive ext cab and mine a cc/4x4. We have basically the same set up but he spent his money fullish on stupit ****. But right now his motor dont have no hp its sitting in my garage blowed up. I want to make all this hp successfilly so i can still have a dependable truck where as he well he just dont give a sh** about his truck
