I limped my ally again and now it feels like 3rd gear is slipping and I dont have the money for the full blown stage III right now. I was wondering what the dealer would say if i took it up there( without the edge of course) and if they wont fix it i was wondering if maybe just buying the shift kit and the new clutches would okay and buy the TTC later on seein as it is the most expensive piece
So what should I do? I dont know for sure if it is slipping but I put it in tow haul mode and 3 and hammered it and it felt fine it just doesnt feel the same in regular mode.

What should you do?
Remove the Edge and drive it stock till you can afford the upgrade. There is no point and isn't right to have GM warranty the transmission. You play you pay.

like Mac said, you can do what you want, but if you limped it once, your gonna do it after they repair it again more then likely. I can speak from experience, its useless to do an upgrade to the trans with out replaceing the stock converter. And you pay to have the trans r&r'd and the kit installed, then you pay again for the R&R to have the converter installed. Might as well do it right the first time IMO

Start savin', once you get the SCIII you'll be able to play and not worry. . .
I just can't wait until next Summer (unless the orders change). Eric, you gonna get a phone call from me. . . . fingers crossed. . .

Neways you sell the tranny upgrade kits correct?? What could u get one down to N. Alabama for? Im lookin for just the shift kit and new clutch packs and every other part that goes inside the alli.
We have a state of the art machine shop and some very very smart guys working for us so im just going to take my stock converter off and make another just like it only out of the strong stuff Edited by: Wolford
