I am in process of getting juice without attitude for my truck.(again).http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif. I already have gauges installed and won't be "adjusting on the Fly"".. Now my question is... After break in time and if I am not going to be towing for awhile.. And If I want to play with a Ford or Dodge http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif, Would it be more or less damaging to the Allison Transmission if I only played level 4 in T/H mode.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif..and run level 2-3 back and forth to work ?? Thanks for the info..http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif I would return T/H to 1-2 if towing....

I would stay at or under 90hp(duno what juice you have?) otherwise you are playing with fire in terms of the ally living long term. When the TC is locked line pressure drops to the clutch packs, this is bad, and I'm sure you know that when th is on the converter is locked up most of the time. BUUUUUt, at WOT the converter starts locking anyway, so it really dont matter. TH will keep it running cooler if you are playing around in traffic acting stupid and it will also wind out gears as you know so it may yield better results jumping on it from a roll since it may not downshift and may be swinging a bit more boost.
I dont know from a living stand point if th really makes a difference? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif JMO and thinking though
Edit: I'd run 90hp daily if that what you want and use that to play and leave th to what ever level you feel comfortable running egt wise towing just becasue changing without the attiude can be a PITA IMO
Furthur edit: JMO but running a "daily" power level and then bumping it up every once inawhile when you decide to "play" with someone isnt a good idea IMO. It can confuse the ally's learning a bit and aint best for it. Set it to the peak you will run and forget it, JMO Edited by: ratlover

I've pretty much set mine at level 4 with stock tranny and left it for the past few thousand miles. Never registered any slip. I kinda like keeping it in T/H because I like the down shifting when slowing. I wish it wouldn't turn itself off each time you shut down. The Alli has learned this power level well, and it is very driveable. I do adjust the low boost fueling to smoke individuals who are bothering me.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif hehehe

Juice will protect the tranny somewhat.
I would hate to loose the race because I had chosen a lower power level.
I ran hot Juice 125 for a year with a stock tranny in the levels you describe. When I had the tranny upgradded the shop said the tranny clutches look good. I contribute that to the Edge protecting the tranny.

I run mine on level 5 until I pull a load then I run level 1. I have all the parameters set, and I play so I will pay, but thats the American way. HEHEHEHE Oh well you have to have fun, and fun comes with a price.

Some have problems some dont. Saying the juice has protection somewhat is a good way of putting it. First off it backs off once it sense slip, this means you are slipping things in the first place. Second its just looking at the converter, your clutches may or may not be holding???? I ran 90hp on a reg cab(ligheter than most guys) and turned it up to 125 for the last week or 2 before I did the upgrade. Never limped or zinged the trans and I started burning up c3 and c4.
I would hate to hurt a trans if I didnt want to do the upgrade, but if you dont mind paying then play away as Hired gun said.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
