With 152K on my 1996 6.5L and some missing at highway speeds, am considering my injectors. I bought it used and believe they are original. I see Bosch and Stanadyne injectors on the market. If they both make them, what is the recommended brand? I bought rebuilds for my 6.2L (10 years ago), is that good??

Where did you mount the FSD? Out infornt of the engine bay get's good airflow.


Was there a price difference on the injector brands?

if you want a little more powe go with kennedy's high pop injectors. a little miss here or there could also be the lift pump.

I put Delphi injectors in mine. I was told that they are the exact same thing as I would get in GM boxes from the dealer.

At work I see a large ammount of customers buy and bring in their own injectors, and for the most part they go a majority with Bosch injectors. I don't see many people bng in Stanadyne injectors and I have never seen the stats or even installed them in person. Maybe because we replace so amny of the stanadyne pumps consumers dont buy their injectors:P I prefer Bosch over Delco injectors only because they seem to last longer. I also think they are somewhat cheaper as far as I've been told, but dont mark my words :)

Delphi may well be Lucas. I won't run Lucas.


If Stanadyne sells them, I'd assume that they are Bosch or Delphi/Lucas.





Delco should be Bosch.

Stanadyne doesn't sell injectors or nozzles for the 6.5, only Bosch and Delphi/Lucas.

Go to NAPA and ask for rebuilt 6.5 injectors. If they have GREEN plastic caps on them they are NEW Delphi injectors. Save you some bucks and get brand new for rebuilt price.

what happens if you go to napa and ask for new injectors?
