I just installed a Boost Stock and Blocker Plate already hand the finger stick installed. Went out for a test ride and all seemed just fine. I stuffed the peddle and let off quick and got a bark from the turbo. I did this a couple of times just to see if it would continue which it did. I re checked the tightness on the blocker plate and they were as tight as I could make them. I drove the truck again and the bark seems to be gone? Is this common or did something get screwy on me. And for who ever it was that said installing the boost stick was a right of passage you were'nt kidding. What a PITA!!

PITA? Mmm...I'm gonna have to find out about this on monday...getting lots of stuff listed in my signature next friday. I don't know I've looked at the instructions and it seems like one of the most simple things a person can do on a vehicle. As far as difficult is concerned, work on a 300zx...u can hardly do anything unless the engine is pulled all the way out.

I know what your saying, the instruction look simpe and all together they really are. The trick is getting to the connections, your gonna have the urge to pull this motor out! It's a simple install just takes patience and some good tool inventions.

This is hard to explain. Is it a bark, or a cough? Or is it just a "wind" down sort of whistle?

Well to be honest I don't know what a "Bark" sounds like. It was a wierd sound almost like a strong vibration? Not overly loud and didn't last long. It didn't really sound like wind though.. Sorry but I can't really describe much better

A bark is a hard cough/stutter. It is very bad and feels like it. The other wind down sound, (wind a watch), seems to be just an extra boost kind of noise. Mine really does it, but I have a steel intake tube also. Most people think its cool.

I guess it could be a wind down sound, just seems kinda odd. It wasn't overly loud or harsh sounding and I don't get it every time. I though it had stopped but it did it again to me last night. If it is in fact the wind down is that bad or will it be OK. Other question I have is, is it the Boost Stick that causes it or the blocker plate, or a combo of the two?

I think its the added boost. If it's what I'm talking about it's normal and hasn't hurt mine yet. You can get to where you can almost do it on command by flooring the truck and letting off suddenly at just the right moment. Hope this helps!:)
