Hey guys help me out here tell me if this sounds fishey to you. CD Changer quit working 5 cd's stuck in there. Took it in and they said they would order a whole new unit. Took it in today they removed the cd's and called and said the new radio was in and ready for pick-up. Went there and my cd's were removed they said it was a new system but still would not load cd's or anything. Said they would order another one. I told you all that to tell you this. I have XM witch I subscribe to and all those stations were still in there. my FM presets were all jumbled though. Should my XM just auto ajust to a whole new radio or do you think this is the same radio

I think it was the same radio - XM preset are stored in the radio not the XM unit, changed a few and that's the way it's always worked for me anyway.

A "good tech" will write down your presets & set them in your new radio". twice I've replaced a radio (they are normaly rebuilt when going through GM)
& the new 6disc wouldn't accept cd's. shouldn't happen but it is out of the dealers hands, they get sent to a "certified"repair facility & they ship the dealer 1 that has already been repaired.
When they found the new 1 did not work correctly it is possible they reinstalled your original & sent the new 1 back.
Just a couple scenarios for you.

not trying to call anyone a bad tech who doesn't transfer presets, that is something small I try to do for my customers to keep my "CSI" up.

Very nice! Don't think there's a lot of folks that would take the time to do that.
