Does anyone have fitment advise or pictures of an Expandit 5" install on a 2007 GMC Classic CC longbed? I'm all installed with minimal problems up to the muffler. The angles of the tailpiece have me baffled however.

In all the twists and angles I've tried, the best exit position I can attain is with the exit pipe hanging halfway between the ground and the fender behind the rear wheel. There is a leftover piece also-it is a 45 degree bend about a foot and a half long.

Any help with this or a VERY similar install would be appreciated.

By the way, so far it sounds AWESOME, I can't stay out of the pedal-it's like a jet taking off and everyone looks to see it.

Here's how I fit mine in. In my opinion the fit on this kit is pretty pitiful. I got it pieced in and took it to my muffler guy and he trimmed up a few pipes, tweaked it around and welded it together. I'm only into it about $400 including paying him to weld it up, but it would have been alot easier if I had bought a better kit.

I agree it could have fit up a lot better. But for not having ever done an install myself before, I wasn't sure I had much right to complain....yet.

I guess I just need to keep playing with the position of the tailpipe until it lines up. Yours looks like I think mine should.

Thanks again, I appreciate the pics and the response.

oh yeah... where did the 45 degree piece go in? I don't see a need for it.

The 45 goes up over the axle. It points up at the bed and then the tailpipe slips down over it and goes down and turns to exit.
