Just got the edge put in today, did any of you guys see a change in how the tranny shifted?

No change in the way the transmission shifts, except that sometimes it makes the tires "chirp" when I go fron first to second. It really pisses off the Mustangs and Camaros when that big ol' diesel truck leaves them in a BIG cloud of diesel smoke......

Oh yea, its an edge-ucation that your tranny has to endure. Bear with it, and drive it like you stole it! Edge-ucation is a good thing, and the allison/edge is a good teacher.

Seriously, depending on the way you drive and which level you are in, the shift learning will change somewhat. I have been driving in level 4 mostly (level 2 for towning) and once the allison learns your new way of driving (foot to the floor?) you will notice that the shift points and shift smoothness will return. Its been a long time, but I think it took about 25-50 different stop/go from red lights to finally get the smoothness back to 'don't feel a thing' shifting.

If you are asking about hard shifts when it is cold then yes, mine shifts hard when cold. Not sure if it is just the Edge that caused this.

Your Allison will adapt to the extra HP and learn your driving style since it has probably changed since you installed your Edge.
