I have a new 07 HD CC and don't want to do any major lift or mod's. I'm looking at a 18 X 9 w/5"BSM w/ 275 65 18 tires. Will I be okay, ie no rubbing and will this fill up the wheel well and look good?

Thanks

My guess is no, you won't be okay. With a 9 inch wide wheel, you will be 2.5 inches wider than stock. Couple that with much larger wheel and tires, and I am pretty sure that you are going to rub somewhere. I had 8 inch X 16, on a truck and they rubbed with 265/75s on them. I would think you would need a leveling kit, or a modest lift kit to get those to fit. If you go to an 8 inch wide wheel, you might make it, but probably not.

i will second that, if your not willing to do any trimming or cranking of the t-bars this combo is a no go, ive got a 18x9 with 4.5" BS and on a 34x12 and had to go 2.5" of lift and cut metal on my fenders to make them fit, i kno your are tucked in .5" more than mine and the tire will be 1.5" narrower and shorter but the wheel width is what will get you. i think if your willing to do some work it will take atleast a 1.5-2" tb crank and some plastic trimming behind the fender and on the valence, dont think any metal will need to be trimmed for you.

Chipnelson I am planning on running a similiar setup. I was looking at that tire size in a toyo AT, but have decided to go with the BFG AT 265/65/18s. I am going to put them on the ultra retros 18x8.5s with +12 backspace. The BFG 265/65/18s are almost the exact size as the stock 265/75/16s on the 3500.

I have no idea if this setup will work without trimming and rubbing, but if I do have to trim or crank a bit thats not a problem.

Because I tow heavy all the time, I wanted the closest tire size to the 265/75/15 but in a bigger wheel.

If anyone has this exact setup it would be nice to find out if it does work or not.

Thanks, I have no problem with those slight modifications.
