My LBZ has about 400 miles on it now. I was planning on changing the oil at 500 miles with dino Rotella, when should I change it after that? When should/could I switch to synthetic?

What other maintenance procedures should I do right away? I read about the rear diff and plan on doing that at 500 miles also.

When should I change the Allison spin on filter for the first time?

Its a sticky in this section. Pretty much covers everything you need to do.

I changed my oil to rotella t dino oil at 1000 miles. Changed to amsoil synthetic at 5000 miles and changed front end (Mobil 1 synthetic 75w90), rear end(Mobile 1 synthetic 75w90), and ally spin-on also.

No need to change it at 500 unless you just want to. Allison says to change the spin on at 5000. Get the filter from them, not GM. $7 versus $38.
