Does anyone have a resource for Identifying engines, Injector driver modules, or ECUs?
These are what I have and need to identify:
Engine: 10YYZR0629952
Injector Driver (FICM): Engine Family 3SZXH06.63AK
Model 8GF1XS
ECU: Serv. No 12210729
HDW No. 12209950

The ECU and Injector driver came from a different source. Are you saying the engine is actually an LB7 or the modules?

that engine in the pictures is an LLY
the first numbers you gave (ECM and EDU/FICM) are from an LB7
the two are NOT interchangable! You'll need an LLY EDU/FICM and ECM to work with that engine in the pictures.
8GF1 is Isuzu's internal designation/technical name for all 6.6 dmax's. Kinda like how all Japanese mfg's have codes like that for engines, ie, the toyota supra engine is a "2JZ-GTE".
8GF1XS refers more specifically to an LB7 dmax.

The reason for my request is that I ordered a salvage LBZ engine, harness, ECU etc. Later the guy mentioned that he pulled the engine from a 2004 3500HD and had the Computers from another truck. This started to make me suspicious that he might not know what engine he was actually selling. Looks like my order has been completely botched!
How do you distinguish the 2004.5 to 2005 LLY engines from the pictures? The engine does have high pressure EGR and what appears to be a variable geometry turbo. I am guessing these might be two of the defining characteristics.

the biggest differance in the lly in the pic to the lb7(the original dmax) is the injectors. the old motor had them buried in the valve cover could only see the lines. the new lbz that your after is different also having the intake pipe turns towards the front of the engine and has an intake heater in it. also the 06 model lly is the same as the lbz motor. just differant programs. and the lbz does not have a ficm, the glow plug module controls the injectors now.good luck.

If it has a variable vane turbo, visible injectors, and an EDU/FICM, then it is a 2004.5-2005 LLY.
