Having the Banks 'Big Hoss' bundle installed in September @ Banks Power. I've been told by others that I need to install (or should) purchase an oil bypass system.

Does anyone have suggestions on which is the best brand/make and where to purchase? Also, which system NOT to purchase would be great.

I'm naive about diesels - but I'm trying to learn quickly. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I personally like the amsoil unit. I have installed unit on numerous diesel and gas engines over the last 12 years, i own a 1999 Chevrolet with 6.0 gasser and installed one when new and now have 250000 miles on truck and kept the truck when i bought my new 2004.5 duramax. I installed a new unit on my duramax when it was 2 days old and plan to go over 500000. There is a kit designed for the Powerstroke. I also own 3 powerstrokes in company trucks along with 7500 TopKick with Cat engine. there are other bypass kits available and i think you will benefit from either one. I just became an amsoil dealer and there are some sponsors on this site that carry the same.

email me at hotrent1@hotrent.com for any questions.

Amsoil doesn't make one for the Ford 6.0 turbo-diesel. The only ones I've found are the OilGuard and Puradyn. I purchased the OilGuard and it was just delivered today.

Thanks
