Is there a boost sensor that is available to make the Attitude work above 25.6 psi ? Is mine a 2 bar and maybe I need a 3 barhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
Thanks for any input

Jay,
I don't think it works that way. The attitude (most of them at least) will only display up to 25.6 psi boost. You can set up your display as a 2 bar a 3 bar or as a 4 bar with the one you have. Read your instruction manual or play around with the four buttons. Hit menu and there are a bunch of options available to you. The manual has a lot of really good information in it.

You might want to consider a gauge. Just install that and you will have no issues. You can get a gauge that will read up to 60 psi (just in case).... You never know what you will do to your truck in the future...

The sensor will read higher but if it does then the truck "sees" it and freaks out and throws a code. This is how I understand it anywho, I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wronghttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

Your right ratlover. The edge is a boost fooler. So in order for the truck not to set an over boost code the edge must not let the truck know that the boost is over 25.6. (it may take a higher number but this as far as the edge lets it know). The attitude is just displaying what its telling the truck the boost level is at.

that is correct extended periods over 25.6 will throw an overboost code.........the attitude just limits what the ecm sees to 25.6 to block the trouble code........actual boost numbers on mine are 28 to 30 psi when the attitude is showing 25.6

Interesting, my TST displays 32 psi and does not trip an overboost. I guess it displays the correct boost and then lies to the ECM?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Diesel tech knows for sure, but the OEM boost sensor has a max value of 255.. which is 25.5lbs of boost.. stick a manual gauge in and be done with it..
