Im here in Kansas City, Mo and was curious as to what others made in other states. I'm subcontracted to do parking lots at $75 an hour, thats pushing or salting. Then of course some of my own lots I average around a $100 an hour.

I try to stay away from big enough lots that a per hour rate would cover. When I do sub out a pickup plow and driver I charge $100 per hour from the time the unit leaves my base until it comes back. I try to stay with credit union-bank size lots. I get $60 per lot each time I go there if the snow fall is 6" or less and I can pile the snow on the lot. If the snow is deeper I charge anoth $10 per inch over 6 inches. If the snow is deeper and I have to haul it off the lot I charge $100 per tri-axle dump truck load plus $125 per hour for the payloader. It takes about 15 minutes to clear a bank-credit size lot and another 5 minutes to use the snowblower on the sidewalks.

On the properties Im assigned of I get a set amount up to 4 in, after that 1/2 the amount for every 2 in above the 4.
example: 4in = 200
6in = 100
8 in= 100
and so on

I get 60-65 as a sub depending on the person I'm plowing for. My own properties are based on a per push, at 2 inch increments.

for me it verys. if i plow a large commercial lot where i have to also haul the snow out, and salt i charge 150 per hour, but that involves using my dump trucks and getting a loader or two plus a bobcat or two in to do that and its a lot of work. most places around here i plow every 2 inches. on average for just pushing snow i charge 80. most of my stuff is commercial, standard driveways and townhomes i charge $25 a driveway.
