Had any one installed one of these manifolds? I think kennedy diesel sells them. What is the benefits of having it installed?

I installed one, if you want to do it yourself it isnt too hard, just time consuming. Supposedly the stock one only flows about 70-80% as the BD one does due to a pinch in the stock one which is unecessary. The reason I got it though was for the pyrometer tap that was already there on the manifold.

I did one mainly for the pyro tap also, but removing the restriction sure can't hurt anything.I was actually pretty surprised how much restriction there actually was once I saw it.I didn't want to do the drill and tap for the probe.Take the frt left tire and wheel well liner off and access is pretty good after you remove the steering shaft(easy) took me about 4 hrs taking my time. There's a good set of instructions in the do-it-yourself section. They say you can reuse the gasket,I bought a new one,it is a heavy metal gasket and probably could be reused if wanted.I also did a lube on the intermediate steering shaft while it was out. There's a do-it yourself article of this also. The only issue I had was the port for the pyro probe was not tapped deep enough to let the probe extend into the manifold far enough.I had to run a pipe tap down a little deeper to get the probe into a better position.
