I have checked the setting on the radio, which controls the volume (press and hold station 6 button with the radio off and the ignition on). The settings are normal and loud. Max Power 10-21-2003, 08:51 PM You could always remove your factory stereo and install an aftermarket one. No more chimes at all! If you have on-star it won't work eithter but there are adapters to retail on-star! Keep in mind that if you do this you will lose warning chimes including back-up chimes, memory seats, low fuel, door/hatch ajar and others.
