I'm just now reading about this EFIlive information. It really sounds perfect. I've got a great new computer, a really long USB cord on the way... but do each of these programs cost money, or do i just download them from here? Do you guys create personal tunes and keep them all to yourself?? I'm really excited to try it. I've limped my tranny a few times tho, I'm afraid that I may have caused long term damage but have no clue how to tell? will EFIlive amplify the problem?

www.efilive.com has the info you need. ( it explains streams, pricing, etc.)
This website has a repository with a few tunes in it, and when you buy EFIlive from a vendor, you generally get a starter tune, but most pro's won't just give you an awesome tune for free.
Now as for limping, properly tuned your shifting will be much smoother then lets say the "edge". but if you start pushing anything over 110 over stock it tends to limp it. and any hp increase over stock will rapidly accelerate your transmissions eventual failure. so if you want to experience the benefit of EFIlive, get a beefed up tranny, you can upgrade your tranny to hold 700hp for 3k or buy a pimped suncoast fo 6k.
Have fun,
