I was wondering what the new 07 classic duramaxes are going for now that the new body style came out. Is there any deals out there at the dealers?

The local dealership here, Town & Country Chevrolet, in Milwaukie, Oregon, is offering $5,000 off of MSRP on all 2007 Classic Chevy Silverado Duramaxes in stock. On top of that, he is throwing in a 42-inch plasma television.

Actually, that sounds pretty darned good and if I hadn't bought a 2006+ Duramax, I'd prolly buy a 2007 Classic.

We live very close to the dealer, prolly less than a mile, and he has a pretty darned good stock of Classics.

We bought a 2004 Tahoe LT from the same dealership. The advertised price was $10,000 off of MSRP. The MSRP on the Tahoe was $46,000 and I simply wrote a check for $36,000...no hassle, just cash deal and killer price.

I just got a quote for $40,800 out the door (trading in my 2005 Titan) on a GMC ext-cab 4x4 SLE1 D/A. Sticker was $42,200. I walked because they low-balled my trade in. I could have had it for about $39,000 cash which was still too much $$. I will wait for better rebates which I believe will be showing up real soon since the new models are coming in. We shall see.

How much difference should I expect to see going to different dealerships?

With my GMS discount + $1750 rebate all taxes, my trade in $30,000 I had to pay about $10,000 You don't get a very good deal if your a retired Delphi X-worker.

They are around 7K off the window here in the DFW area. There are not too many around so I would not expect much more in the incentive area.

Got my '07 3500 crewcab dually LT3 for invoice (edmunds.com verified) plus the 0% for 5 yrs. No brainer. I'd guess others who are better horse traders have done better. I just used edmunds.com ask for dealer quote and I got a couple at invoice. Just picked the dealer with the right color and we were done.

Cheers,

I got a price from another dealer today of $39,400 final (taxes and title). Still seems a little high to me. Sticker is 41,800. Is this a decent deal or am I getting screwed as usual?

Depends on where you are at with the Titan. It is easy enough to get invoice + rebates but the kicker is always on trade. They may be taking you for a ride or shooting you a good deal, just depends where you stand on the trade. Break it down and post it and we can tell you (if you don't mind posting that info).

I would think 37.5 would be a good price without rebates and that works out to a little over 40K with just a 7% tax.

They are giving me 18,500 for my trade (I still owe 19,800). We worked off of invoice price on the new one plus $500 bonus cash. has anyone ever gotten pay off out of a dealer on a trade in? I know I could do better selling my Titan outright but I don't have the time if I want to get the 0% for 60 mo.

LJOHNS sounds like a pretty descent deal. That price for trade in sounds pretty good. I can't even find anybody to give me more than $20k for my 06 F150 w/ 15k miles. If its what you want, jump on it.

I know, the '06 does not come with the same warranty as the '07 but I pulled the trigger on a '06 CC/LB LT3 2WD LBZ. Blue granite color all the bells and whistles etc. Sticker was just shy of 44K. All in with my GM card $ and the additional 1K bonus, I paid 34 and change. I sold my old truck, an '03 RC/LB LS with matching shell for 15K. The dealer was offering me 11K in trade. I bought the '03 in July of '03 with 0% so all in all I have done well with all of my dealings with GM.

Owing more on a vehicle than what it's worth is not a very good position to be in. The dealer doesn't care how much you owe. They are going to go by book value, and then give you somewhat less so that they can make a few bucks.

You should be able to get around 10% off of sticker and somewhere between fair and good for your trade-in (if the trade-in doesn't look like it should be torched or hung from the back of a tow truck!). Check your trade-in values at Kelly Blue Book (http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/default.aspx?linkId=hp_uc_values), Edmunds (http://www.edmunds.com/zipcode/used/), or NADA (http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-28-0-5000-565-557-50181&l=1&w=21&p=0&f=5002). If you get more than that you are doing OK. Be sure to get all MFG and dealer rebates too. BTW check local credit union's loans for usually better rates for new/used vehicles. You can join most credit unions by opening an account for just $5...well worth doing to get a lower rate. The 0% option is great too but do the math of they offer rebates and a higher rate. It sometimes works out better with the rebates and higher rate. You can check that here at Bankrate Auto Rebate calculator (http://www.bankrate.com/brm/calc/rebatecalc.asp) .

I just signed the deal on an '07 classic last week, I got arount $5000 off the sticker. I also added about $11,000 in options  . Had to take advantage of that 0% financing! All the work is being done at a shop they use regularly and they wrap it all into the 0 financing payment.

I picked up my new '07 for 39,700, it stickered at 44,900. I used supplier pricing through work though, but the original deal was within $1,100 of what I paid. I couldn't pass up the 0%.

2007 2500HD 4WD CREW CAB SLE2 with some other features. Sticker was $45,881.00. At the time they only had a $1500 rebate, and I would have waited to buy till rebates came up, but I had a GMS discount coupon that I had to use. With that (the coupon and the rebate) the out the door price was just ($37, 996.23 + $3077 tax) $41,073.23. I've seen better prices, but not by too much.

They had probably 100 of the 2007 classics with similar options to mine sitting there, so I am sure the rebates are really nice now.

I picked up an '07 Classic a few weeks ago for $4k under invoice + 0%.

More truck than I need. But I was able to get the '07 Classic CC LT1 for LESS than I could get a new style '07 1500 CC.

That was a no-brainer in my book.....done deal and its in my garage.

I just bought a black 2007 CC SLT with everything minus DVD Feb 27. MSRP $47680 +$320 doc fee, I got $3500 off by dealer (~invoice), $1000 GMC special offer, $500 bonus cash with 0% / 60 mos, $2700 in GM card savings. Traded my 2002 CC SLE with 106K and they gave me $1000 over average trade in KBB.

I was so happy with the deal that I had them add $2500 in accessories. The parts guys saved me $500 compared to my best internet pricing and all parts were installed by GM certified technicians! All included in the 0% / 60 month financing. SWEET !!!

This truck (Edge/Attitude + dual 4" exhaust) rocks compared to my 2002!
