My wife tried to tear the mirror on my truck for the Second time.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif Last time I had to buy the whole assembly. Does anyone know if the Stealers are just selling the glass part now, or am I short on luck and have to buy the whole assembly.
By the way the wife surrendered her set of keys.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I am pretty sure you can buy just the glass seperately.

The stealer I went to said it had to be replaced as a whole unit to the tune of around $600. The problem I had was a scratch on the glass but the unit was fine.

Also does anyone know of a "convex" mirror for the passenger side that does not require a whole unit replacement. Something like a stick on but in the size of the mirror itself

$600 is crazy... get it from a junk yard or on line.

can you install the power extend tow mirrors to say a 00 1500 (is wiring and mounting the same?) and I assume a new switch would be in order as well?
