Hi, I have an '85 Dodge Ram Charger and I love it dearly but every time my husband takes it to the car wash and it gets wet, it won't start, it has turn over but no fire, it's not the gas, or the coil, starter or alternator. It's really frustrating!!! If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I miss my truck and want it running asap.

Thanks!

Sounds like spark plug wires to me. Does it run okay during rainy damp weather?

When was the last time you changed the plug wires, Dist. cap, etc.? I'd start there.
Get it wet so it doesn't start and spray some "wire drier" on the wires and distributer. If it starts, replace those parts.

Mopars are noted for this, like said above, a good tune up should cure it.

Next time it wont start after being wet, remove the distribuitor cap and dry it out with a paper towel or hair dryer. Spray wd40 on the spark plug wires..........George H
