Has any one had any luck with installing a 12" sub in a crew cab? I have a Kicker Comp VR from another truck that I sold and was wonting to install it in my CC. I have done some looking and searching on here and haven't really seen to many 12" installs. Is there just not enough room in the CC without doing some serious custom work?
Don't won't to get rid of the sub. It hits hard!:rocking:

OOOPS, That link is for the NON-HD Model..... The 12" may be a little problem. They have plenty for 10" subs.

Is there really less room behind a HD CC seat?

An important thing to remember is the mounting depth of your sub. The link to the box recommends a max mount depth of 4.5" so that might limit your choice of sub to use.

Sledog is right but if you want more room you can lift your seat like I did or you can cut the bolts off and install new one and move your rear seat a head a few inches. I have a link to my install pics in my garage.

Thanks for the info guys. Riccas where did you get that box? The only ones that I can see that look like that are for 10".
I think that I will end up doing some fiberglass work and make a custom box. I have the 40/20/40 seats and don't really have a need for the middle seat. If this is what I end up doing I will be taking some step by step photos and end up making a how to thread for it. I have done some fiberglass work for sub boxes before and they aren't really that difficult if you take the time.
Again thanks for the info.

Anyone know of a small box that will house the stock Bose sub? I've removed the console nd replaced it with a jump seat. Could I power an 8" off the factory amp?

i just bought a dual 12 inch box for my HD, i had to make some custom 3/4 inch spacers to fit the 12w3s, looks like it will work as long as i find a place to mount the amp. any suggestions on where to put this amp?

I could only get 10 in. Under the seat try to go to subthump.com and ask him he's all about that stuff

6APPEAL, that is a good looking box. That looks a little like what I was thinking of doing. Did you use fiberglass?
DJistheman, you could mount the amps behind the back seat or mount theme under the front seats. Just get some bailing wire to fish the cables under the carpet.
mike3871, thanks for the site. I will go and see what they have to offer.
